I shouldn't have had that dang cup...

I can't sleep. Reason tells me I should be popping a capsule of Melatonin right about now to avoid paying for this during the week. I should and I shall.

I have been remiss in my elective writing duties, preferring instead to post songs with bits of sentences thrown in. I have been wanting to write. About my last birthday, for one thing. I meant to do some reflective piece of sorts about turning older and What Life Means To Me blah-blah-blah. But I've forgotten what I wanted to say and I'm too lazy to try to remember it now. So instead I shall just bullet a few (really) random thoughts.
  • I believe that the corner of Dela Costa and Valero is a Bermuda Triangle of the mind. The moment motorists start making that turn towards Valero, they slow down and come to a complete stop, like they suddenly don't know where they are or where they're going. Parang namatanda. I'm almost tempted to scream, "Mga putangina niyo, baligtarin niyo iyong t-shirt niyo para alam niyo kung saan kayo pupunta!!! MGA TANGAAAAAAAA!!!!!" Needless to say, it's one of my stress points before coming to work and I believe that I will die from an embolism right on that fucking corner one of these days.
  • I often wonder if Pepe believes in his cat heart that I actually hunted the chicken breasts I bought from the market.
  • Sometimes I'm stupid enough to like people who are the equivalent of a single pair in straight poker. I must remember to say "fold". Some hands are just not worth playing.
  • Move over Aling Nene. Red Lion Pub's barbecue is DA BOMB!!!
  • Security guards are genetically stupid. I am genetically predisposed to resist authority.
  • Bohol is a gastronomic disappointment. Amazing considering that the island is within spitting distance of Cebu, home of all things masarap including Cebu Lechon. Even their inihaw na liempo isn't that good. Which begs the questiion: how in hell can you possibly fuck up inihaw na liempo?! (hint: ketchup)
  • A friend recently shared some wise words: "Itanong mo muna sa sarili mo kung ano ang idadagdag niya sa buhay mo." I'm grateful that the friends I've chosen to keep have done so much to enrich my life. Lately I've been praying that I can rise above myself and return the favor to others.
  • Speaking of praying, there's a bunch of retards that pray at the Adoration Chapel in Phase 1 with their fucking curly-haired poodle in tow. It offends me. We come in unshod because it's supposed to be a really holy place and they bring their DOG in?! SacredHeartofJesuspleasegivemethestrengthtostopmyselffromchokingtheiruglywhitedog cuttingittopeicesandrammingthebloodypartsdowntheirthroatsAmen.
  • I am happy that the dragonflies and butterflies are back in our garden. It's been a while since I've seen so many of them. I was almost tempted to try to catch the big red dragonfly that landed on my Chucks, just to see if I still could but thought, nah, who am I kidding, I'm too old for that shit. Besides, I'm grossed out at the thought of their legs clutching my fingers. Eew.
  • I wonder why the black and yellow millipedes that come with the rains have been replced by bloody red ones. Did the red ones kill off the black and yellow ones or did they simply evolve i.e. black and yellow is so last season and we think red is very chic and very now so we're shedding.
  • Microsoft is evil. And so is Apple. Twitter is starting to bore me.
  • We are finally going to have Maynilad water flowing from our faucets. You can always tell people are from BF by how efficiently they wash their hands and pretty much everything else, and by how maniacal they are about ensuring that the faucet is tightly closed. When you're paying P200 for around a (measly) thousand liters of water, it's easy to develop good habits.
  • I'm sleepy.
